Náčelník do toho jednou pořádně praštil a výsledkem byla erupce C2,5. Večerní přehled ji uvádí jako maximum dne.
Jinak zůstávalo okolí Slunce klidné. Ráno měl sluneční vítr rychlost 348 km/s, hustotu 2,14 p/cm³ a Bz −0,92 nT.
A výsledek?
Trhy
Náčelník strávil většinu dne v B-třídě a teprve odpoledne přišla jedna výraznější rána C2,5. Sluneční vítr, hustota, Bz i geomagnetické indexy přitom zůstávaly klidné.
A Náčelník?
Celý den plyšový medvídek.
Pak jednou praštil do bubnu.
C2,5.
A zase medvídek. 😂🐻🥁
Prozatím víme, co se stalo. Ještě nevíme, proč.
Co? – zapisujeme.
Proč? – ověřujeme.
Co bude dál? – sledujeme.
Nový týden je tedy odstopován prvním dnem. 😎📡
🜏 English Version 🜏
Daily Report – September 28, 2026
Sun – A Teddy Bear with Drumsticks
The Chief spent most of the day back in the B-class. He tapped the drum a few times, but the morning attempts were not even enough to produce a small C-class flare.
Only during the afternoon session did things change. The Chief gave the drum one proper hit, producing a C2.5 flare.
Otherwise, conditions around the Sun remained calm. In the morning, the solar wind speed was 348 km/s, with a density of 2.14 p/cm³ and Bz at −0.92 nT. By evening, the speed had decreased further to 325 km/s, density was 2.39 p/cm³ and Bz −1.67 nT. All three values remained within the calm range.
The Solar Activity Index changed only slightly during the day, from 2.8 in the morning to 2.7 in the evening.
NOAA indices remained low throughout the day and ended at 1+ in the evening.
And what did the Chief look like in today’s solar portraits?
A teddy bear.
After Scarface and Superman, that is quite a change of image.
Etna – The Same Show, Stronger Needles
Etna continued the programme of recent days:
night canopy, triple seam, needles.
Today, however, the needles were more pronounced than usual. Some became yellow to red and were considerably stronger.
By the afternoon, however, the image had returned to the greyer appearance of recent days, without any prominent new elements.
The overall regime therefore remains similar, although the morning part of the day showed a somewhat stronger signature.
Etna 1 – Noise Rising from Below
During the first half of the day, Etna 1 again looked very similar to previous days.
The triple seam was more pronounced, accompanied by several red needles. A more interesting change appeared at the lower frequencies, where vertical noise gradually became more visible.
By the afternoon, the noise had reached an approximately stable level and remained there.
The 50 Hz line also continues to tremble and oscillate, as it has for several previous days.
We therefore record the change. What causes it remains an open question.
Tomsk – It Caught Up, but Had Nothing Much to Show
After the previous outage, Tomsk returned and even supplied the missing graphs.
And the result?
Azure blue.
During the day, some noise appeared at individual frequencies, occasionally accompanied by a vertical white line and horizontal banding at the lower frequencies.
But no waterfalls.
No geraniums.
No columns.
Just a blue image.
So after its absence, Tomsk returned to work and immediately explained that we had not missed anything particularly dramatic. 😂
Cumiana – The Gas Connection Is Still Acting Up
Cumiana continued its recent minimalist regime.
During the morning, the graph was practically without its flame. The flame reappeared in the afternoon, but the record itself remained very clean.
Apparently yesterday’s complaint came with only a limited warranty. 😎
Windy – The North Atlantic Has Rearranged Itself
Here, today’s change was considerably more noticeable.
A large high-pressure system over the Azores stretches across much of the Atlantic. North of it, however, the pressure pattern has been rearranged.
The Icelandic low has left its previous position and moved towards the coast of Norway, where it has been joined by additional low-pressure systems.
Another large low lies over Canada. Over the United States, by contrast, there is an extensive high-pressure system that appears almost to connect with the Azores high across the Atlantic.
Much of Europe is sheltered beneath a high-pressure system over Ukraine and western Russia.
The largest and most colourful feature on today’s map, however, is the extensive low-pressure system over the Arctic Ocean. Air flowing from Europe is drawn into its circulation and carried far north.
And the tropical systems in the Pacific continue to spin.
Lightning – America Has Moved into the Gulf of Mexico
Most of today’s thunderstorm activity around the Americas has concentrated in the Gulf of Mexico.
It almost looks as though all the storms we had been watching scattered around the Americas during previous days decided to meet there. Some activity remains along the western coast and over the Atlantic.
In Europe, thunderstorms are mainly affecting Spain, Portugal and France, with another area along the eastern coast of the Black Sea and over Turkey.
In Asia, a more prominent thunderstorm area is located in central China, accompanied by numerous smaller isolated storms.
And the trend of recent days continues: the Sahara and equatorial Africa are becoming increasingly prominent on the lightning map.
Markets
Here we can finally tell that Monday has arrived.
In the morning, BDI stood at 3426, VIX at 16.37, and Fear & Greed at 37 – Fear.
By evening, BDI had moved to 3430, VIX had fallen to 15.63, and Fear & Greed to 36 – Fear.
After Sunday’s standstill, the numbers are moving again.
Conclusion – A Quiet Start to the Week with One Proper Hit
September 28 began mostly quietly.
The Chief spent most of the day in the B-class, with only one stronger C2.5 hit arriving in the afternoon. Solar wind, density, Bz and geomagnetic indices all remained calm.
Etna continued its familiar regime, although the morning needles were stronger and more colourful. Etna 1 showed increasing vertical noise at the lower frequencies, together with the continuing oscillation of the 50 Hz line.
Tomsk filled in its missing data after the outage — revealing a predominantly azure-blue picture. Cumiana remained almost completely clean.
The largest rearrangement of the day was therefore not found in the spectrograms, but on Windy, where the pressure systems over the North Atlantic and Arctic region changed their configuration.
And the Chief?
A teddy bear all day.
Then one proper hit on the drum.
C2.5.
And back to being a teddy bear. 😂🐻🥁
For now, we know what happened. We still do not know why.
What? – We record.
Why? – We verify.
What comes next? – We watch.
The new week has therefore been tracked for its first day. 😎📡
