Denní hlášení – 5. října 2026
Náčelník – probuzení do C
Večerní odečet ukazuje aktuální hodnotu B5,19 a 24hodinové maximum C1,54.
I to zapisujeme.
Cumiana – věčný plamínek nastoupil do směny
A tím dnešní program v podstatě skončil.
Jedno jádro leží nad Německem a Rakouskem, druhé nad Rumunskem.
A dole?
Etna odmítla reagovat něčím výrazným.
Cumiana si zapálila věčný plamínek.
Tomsk se podruhé pokusil postavit plot a zase jej nedokončil.
Windy uklidilo sever.
A někdo vypnul bleskům hlavní jistič.
Takže kdybychom hledali jednoduché pravidlo typu:
„Nahoře se něco děje, dole se musí stát totéž,“
dnešek nám ho rozhodně nepotvrdil.
A právě proto má smysl zapisovat i takové dny.
Prozatím víme, co se stalo. Ještě nevíme, proč.
Co? – zapisujeme.
Proč? – ověřujeme.
Co bude dál? – sledujeme.
A právě proto naše pozorování pokračuje.
Náčelník je vzhůru.
Kompresor ještě běží.
Šotek se k situaci nevyjádřil.
Což je pochopitelné.
Nemůžeme potvrdit ani vyvrátit, že nějaký šotek existuje.
Jen tak se nás nezbavíte. 😎📡🛡️

Daily Report – October 5, 2026
The Chief – Waking Up Into C-Class
After yesterday, when the Chief remained in the B-class range and left most of the work to his blaster, today he finally woke up on the X-ray chart as well.
In the morning, the 24-hour maximum was still B9.69, but during the morning three small C-class flares appeared: C1.0, C1.5 and C1.3. By evening, the current value was B5.19 and the 24-hour maximum had reached C1.54.
So there was no major drumming. The Chief simply moved from B into C and made it clear that he was no longer asleep.
The solar wind remained elevated as well. In the morning we recorded 550 km/s, rising to 580 km/s by evening. Density was only 3.53 p/cm³ in the evening, with Bz at −4.15 nT.
So the Chief hasn't switched off the compressor yet. He has simply returned to the drum as well.
Geomagnetic Activity – The Traffic Light Is Returning to Green
Today's development was considerably more colourful here.
After yesterday's increase, geomagnetic activity continued into today. The morning reading showed Kp 5 and NOAA K-index 5+, while the overview reported G1 conditions.
Since yesterday, the bars have therefore managed to display all three colours of the traffic light.
During the afternoon, conditions began to settle. By evening, both Kp and NOAA had fallen to 4−. Individual stations, however, reacted differently, and College was still holding red values; today's sequence ended at 4 – 4 – 3 – 5 – 4 – 5.
So the traffic light is slowly returning to green.
College, however, still refuses to switch off the red.
Etna – The Show Is Cancelled
Despite a fairly active geomagnetic day, Etna did not put on any major performance.
The morning record looked as though it had not even managed to change out of its dark night canopy. By the afternoon, the canopy was lighter and more heavily stitched. A red lower seam and several individual needles appeared, but nothing that fundamentally changed the character of the record.
Etna 1 showed one coloured needle shortly before midnight, at approximately 23:00. During the day, the graph became brighter and showed visible vertical striping, but otherwise there was no significant change.
So while the geomagnetic traffic light was showing every colour available:
Etna held the scenery in place and stayed out of the performance.
We record that too.
Cumiana – The Eternal Flame Reports for Duty
Cumiana started the day very cautiously.
Between 03:00 and 06:00, only a micro-flame appeared. After 10:00, it gradually grew into the usual size of our eternal flame.
And that was essentially the end of today's programme.
No sparklers reaching 50 Hz like yesterday, no wall of flame, no barbecue.
The eternal flame reported for duty, completed its shift, and nobody can reasonably ask for more.
Tomsk – Second Attempt at Building the Fence
Tomsk apparently decided to make up for yesterday's construction failure.
At around 11:00, a thin white flagpole appeared, followed by several more white boards. Their green ends reached as high as the third harmonic. The entire construction operation ended at approximately 13:00.
By 17:00, there had been one more attempt – this time with a golden cloud at the lower frequencies.
And shortly before midnight, the hint of another white pole appeared, reaching approximately to the first harmonic. This time it came without the green background.
So compared with yesterday's two fence posts, there was some progress.
But we still cannot approve the fence for use.
The Tomsk construction company clearly operates on a rather flexible schedule.
Windy – After the Chaos Came the Cleanup
The airflow on Windy continued to reorganize today, but the Northern Hemisphere looked considerably tidier than it had over the previous few days.
Especially in the north, much of the previous colourful tangle disappeared. A more prominent coloured band remained mainly over the Atlantic, where Iceland splits it into two branches.
The morning image showed flow arriving from America and Canada. By the afternoon, the picture had changed to show a flow from Greenland and another broad eastern stream running between Greenland and Svalbard.
The two branches meet near the Norwegian coast and then flow across Scandinavia back towards the north.
Europe remains beneath a high-pressure area. One centre lies over Germany and Austria, with a second centre over Romania.
So after several days of roundabouts, noodles and beautifully organized chaos, Windy has finally cleaned up at least the northern part of the map.
Nobody said how long it will stay that way.
Lightning – Someone Switched Off the Main Breaker
The thunderstorm map became considerably quieter today compared with previous days.
Only a small amount of activity remained around the Gulf of Mexico. The most prominent group appeared near the Azores.
In Europe, lightning remained mainly over Spain, Portugal and the Italian islands.
Asia did not produce a pronounced frontal line today. Instead, there were numerous individual, separate storms.
The afternoon image also showed an increase in thunderstorm activity along the western coast of the United States.
But compared with previous days, the overall impression is clear:
Someone switched off the main breaker.
The backup circuits are obviously still working.
Markets
By evening, BDI remained at 3148, VIX stood at 15.56, and the Fear & Greed Index had risen to 44.
Compared with the morning Fear & Greed reading of 31, this represents a fairly substantial move during the day, while BDI remained unchanged.
Conclusion – The Chief Woke Up, the Others Not So Much
Today brought an unusual combination of continuing geomagnetic activity and gradual calming in some of our ground-based records.
After spending yesterday in the B-class range, the Chief finally moved into C. Since yesterday, the geomagnetic traffic light has had the opportunity to display all of its colours, and during the morning Kp was still around five. In the afternoon, some values began moving back towards green, although College was still holding red fives by evening.
Meanwhile, the solar wind did not disappear. By evening, it was still running at 580 km/s.
And down below?
Etna refused to respond with anything dramatic.
Cumiana lit its eternal flame.
Tomsk made a second attempt at building a fence and failed to finish it again.
Windy cleaned up the north.
And someone switched off the main breaker for the lightning.
So if we were looking for a simple rule such as:
“Something happens up there, therefore the same thing must happen down here,”
today certainly did not confirm it.
And that is exactly why days like this are worth recording.
For now, we know what happened. We still do not know why.
What? – We record.
Why? – We verify.
What comes next? – We watch.
And that is precisely why our observation continues.
The Chief is awake.
The compressor is still running.
The gremlin has made no statement regarding the situation.
Which is understandable.
We can neither confirm nor deny that any gremlin exists.
You are not getting rid of us that easily. 😎📡🛡️
