Stephen J. Sniegoski writing in the Unz Review, questions the prevailing story that Russia hacked the DNC emails. he writes, in a thought provoking article: "Like other common memes—such as anti-Semitism, racism, and sexism—used to silence debate, the exact meaning of Russian interference in the election is unclear—and Obama’s inclusion of a number of extraneous issues in his explanation for taking retaliatory action against Russia muddles the issue even more." He points out that the misunderstanding, that the Russians actually manipulated voting results, simply cannot be true as voting machines are not connected to the Internet, and some counts were of paper ballots. He also confirms that the assertion that the Russians gained the emails from the DNC server is still unproven, even though widely asserted. "Now to consider the ramifications of Russia’s hacking the emails of the Democratic National Committee (DNC) and of Hillary Clinton’s campaign chairman, John Podesta, and the reception and release to the public of this Russian-hacked information by WikiLeaks. While this is assumed to be incontestably true by the mainstream media, neither one of these allegations is rock solid at the moment. " Both Julian Assange and the former ambassador, Craig Murray, have made it clear the Russians did not feed the information to Wikileaks, but that it came from an insider. This has led to both being denigrated in the mass media, with one American cable news programme going so far as to say Assange was a Pedophile. They have since retracted that statement under threat of a huge law suit. But the attack on Assange is interesting, as the leaked emails do contain some very peculiar content that has led many to conclude they are referring – in part – to paedophile activities. Indeed it was the main stream media that first spoke of the link to Pizzas and Gates. No-one is suggesting the content of the emails is fallacious, although nods and winks suggest that the Russians would have manipulated the data. That said (and totally unproven) other data very damaging to Hillary Clinton has gone largely without comment. "The information harmful to Hillary Clinton included the DNC’s behind-the-scenes support for her over Bernie Sanders (which included then DNC chair Donna Brazile’s feeding answers to Clinton before the latter’s debate with Bernie Sanders); Clinton’s unpublicized paid speeches—on foreign policy and the economy– to wealthy business executives and bankers revealing views diametrically opposed to her campaign positions; the collusion of mainstream media reporters with the DNC. For example, Washington Post columnist Dana Milbank requested and got the DNC to do the research for a negative column he wrote about Trump." The full article can be read here, and is recommended. And the relevance of pizza? This is a disturbing narrative that the current writer will not post about directly. But there is something going on that is deeply troubling, and not just in the minds of a few far right blogging sites. It has been rubbished as 'Fake News' but the factual data raises very real (if somewhat dark) questions.
