A Dream of Ascension

LAST NIGHT (Saturday 8th December) I had an unusual dream. Although I have several times dreamt of planes flying through city landscapes this one was different.


I am in New York and the plane – which I cannot see – is taking off. I am told, by the female voice guiding the plane, that I can sit on the wing and watch. The plane takes off and ascends, making adjustments every second or two, to avoid crashing into buildings. I am astounded by the skill of the woman (who also is invisible to me) as she pilots her way upwards, weaving through many potential hazards. Eventually we emerge in 'Upper New York' and I marvel that way below us is the busy city we have left and how she has brought us safely to this higher destination – a city way above the city below.
