Eternal Wisdom in Everyday Life
A Weekend Retreat at Orizon
The Retreat will run from 5:00pm on Friday 10th October until Sunday 12th afternoon (about 3:30pm)
Although the Retreat is ideally residential (using the lovely facilities at Akrimios) it will be possible, by arrangement, for residents of Crete to attend on a daily basis, provided they live close enough!

What is a Retreat?
To enter a Retreat is to enter both a sacred space and a sacred time. There is a pattern to the day built around short contemplative rites, drawn together through a guiding unitive idea. It is of great benefit to those walking a spiritual path, to gather with others and share a life that for a brief spell steps out of ordinary time and enters the realm of the sacred.
A Retreat finds an ideal balance between recreation and study, and between solitude and companionship.
We will use the beautiful meeting room at Orizon as our Sacred Place and the surrounding area as our Academy in the spirit of the ancient Greeks. Each day there will be a chance to discuss aspects of the Eternal Wisdom and its relevance to our lives.
Following the pattern of centuries, we will eat together, using the Akrimios Restaurant. Meat and vegetarian food will be available.
